(6 ii) 5 Ways to Make Someone's Day

  1. Write a compliment

A handwritten piece of kind words brings a broad smile on anyone’s face instantly. When you admire something in someone, expressing it could make their day. When you write it on a paper, they can revisit it whenever they wish to feel good.

  1. Listen to a memorable song you both enjoy

Music is nostalgic. Good memories bring positive emotions and help you to keep going.

Sing your heart out together to your favorite tune. Music is proved to be therapaetic in nature. When it is paired up by a warm person's presence, it makes it all the more relaxing. Give them a personal therapy with a favourite music.

  1. Spend few minutes to listen to how their day was

Though we ask ‘how are you ?’ very casually, taking some time to ask how the person is honestly feeling would make a world of difference. Just listen to them, even to their silence. Share a couple of minutes with them, be present with no agenda.

  1. Tell them a positive story

Storytelling is one of the best ways to connect. Sharing a beautiful story you came across
would leave the person with a positive feeling if not inspiration. Tell that funny incident on the
bus or a thoughtful video that made you reflect. Growth is a beautiful thing to share.

        5. Take them to a new place as a surprise

A walk to a new park, a visit to a nearby art gallery or a sunset point you just discovered,
anything that would be a new experience to them. Traveling and exploring novelty is an
effective way to take a break from the mundane chores and relax.
